My Approach to Writing Coaching
(It’s not all about writing & my work isn’t just for “writers”)
Can I let you in on a secret?
I’m a writing coach, but I’m not just here to help you get words on the page.
I mean, yes, it’s important to get the writing done, but, as I see it, that’s only one aspect of the work we’re setting out to do together.
When you work with me, you’re working with a writing coach and you’re also working with a story healer.
That means I’m devoted to helping you uncover the stories and ideas that matter - to you, to the people you wish to serve, to readers who could be changed by your words.
That means that, in addition to offering you my skills as an editor, an author, and an online marketer with more than a decade of experience, I’m also showing up as an energy healer who always has a stack of oracle cards at her elbow. (I’d love to tell you about my way of using tarot as a way to unblock creativity and help you see your story in new ways!)
Folks come to me because they want more than just “copy & content.”
They have personal stories to explore and heal.
They’re committed to inner growth and renewal
as well as doing their part to renew the wider world.
We’re on a quest to make and share meaning in this life.
We live in a noisy world. The advent of AI and ChatGPT are only going to add to the incessant drone of the greedy attention economy.
As hard as it may feel to be heard in such a climate, silence is not an option. Now, more than ever, we need human voices that will speak for the more-than-human world.
We need the stories of healers, of elders, of new, marginalized voices.
We need to hear from people who know how to listen and offer wisdom, not just add another “hot take.”
We need leadership from people in business who value people, culture, and the environment. as well as creating sustainable livelihood.
We need insights from the authors who blend the practical and the magical, the messy and the mystical, the intellectual and the spiritual.
We need your commitment to your world-renewing story and your clear-voiced message message.
